Immigrations And Customs Enforcement (or ICE) are actively hiring and offering all sorts of bonuses. You can see these agents in pretty much any American city at all hours of the day and night. Sometimes they’ll emerge from unmarked vehicles, masked up, and ready to snatch anyone they deem to be here illegally. Many times they don’t announce themselves or show any credentials (e.g. a badge, warrant, or the name of their agency). Since they believe they’re dealing with non-citizens not legally present in the country, they don’t bother with civility. They bust out vehicle windows, dogpile on suspects (regardless of age), and drag people away like secret police forces do in countless dictatorships around the world.

And who’s going to complain? The President of the United States has given ICE the green light to act as aggressively as they see fit and since their identities are unknown, they’re not concerned with ever being held accountable. ICE has become so powerful when rounding up the undocumented, that even immigration judges have largely been stripped of jurisdiction to allow those who entered without inspection to post bond. The Trump Whitehouse not only looks the other way, but has deployed the military to further assist ICE in its almost unattainable removal quotas.

ICE isn’t hiring the crème de la crème. It appears they’re hiring anyone with a pulse. In many instances, they’ve been caught red-handed trying to poach officers from the various law enforcement agencies they work with. Most LEO’s won’t join the ICE ranks. These individuals are more than likely police department rejects that sign on for a government job and benefits. They haven’t a clue of how to work with the public – at least not the American public. Instead, they feel morally justified by a fascist commander in chief who’s telling them that the undocumented are the bane of America’s existence. Everything wrong with America is the undocumented immigrants’ fault. No jobs? It’s they’re fault. High crime? It’s their fault. Oh it rained today? It’s their fault. And unlike bad cops who might hesitate in front of cameras and cell phones, ICE goons don’t care. Who’s going to hold them accountable? Pam Bondi’s Justice Department? Don’t make me laugh.

Imagine fleeing your homeland and applying for political asylum in the land of the free. We’re talking about folks, who in many cases have hired legal counsel, filed their I-589 within the appropriate time, and attend all mandatory court dates. These individuals make sure EOIR (the Court) and/or USCIS know where they live, where they work, they pay their taxes and they abide by our laws. Most of the undocumented people that ICE have arrested aren’t cartel bosses, sexual deviants, or violent offenders.

ICE violently arrested Narciso Barranco and many others, they stake out at McDonald’s like here in Louisville at 6AM ready to arrest workers getting their breakfast, or they go after landscapers and farmhands. ICE is working around the clock at the behest of their czar, Tom Homan, a bozo used by both the Obama and Trump administrations to mass deport the undocumented. Only with Trump, Mr. Homan’s efforts have become so outrageous that not a day goes by that we don’t see ICE goons trampling over the rights of the undocumented, as well as those of lawful permanent residents (or LPR’s) and United States citizens (USC’s). These horrors are seen before our eyes on Tiktok and other social media apps. The abuses have become so widespread that the mainstream media has been forced to cover it, albeit without identifying Homan’s henchmen. If and when these goons lose the veil of anonymity that allows their brutality to go unchecked, things will change. This is why the fascists are so threatened by California Gov. Gavin Newsom’s mask ban. Trump has instructed federal authorities to ignore the ban.

The case of Monica Moreta-Galarza, the Ecuadoran woman, grabbed and thrown to the floor by an UNNAMED ICE AGENT after her husband was taken in NYC immigration court has received international attention. What kind of a law enforcement agent does this to a mother in front of her children? Did any of the other ICE goons step in? No. Once the woman got back on her feet a baldheaded African American ICE agent even threatened her with arrest. Security officers didn’t do anything, either. It was only when the videos went viral and pressure mounted on the Department of Homeland Security that the UNNAMED ICE AGENT was relieved of his CURRENT duties. Why do I keep putting UNNAMED? Because the media has FAILED to identify this POS. POS is an acronym for PIECE OF SHIT, in case you’re not familiar with modern day slang. And not only won’t they release his name, but I highly doubt his career is over. I have full confidence that once the outrage subsides, the UNNAMMED ICE GOON will be put back on active duty. Maybe Homan will pin a medal to his shirt.

Tom Homan is a dolt. If you gave him a quarter for his thoughts, you’d get change. This is precisely the kind of tyrant that a guy like Donald Trump needs to head up these efforts. You have to figure that if the UNNAMED ICE GOON battered a mother in front of her children in front of dozens of witnesses, it’s because they’re doing it all the time. If not, why didn’t anyone stop him? ICE is snatching the voiceless, the most vulnerable members of our society, and doing with them whatever they wish. The case of Monica Moreta-Galarza, while outrageous, at least got media attention. What about the hundreds, thousands of others?

Fascism is here. It’s only going to get worse. This is why when the undocumented are snatched by masked goons that so many journalist-activists ask them for their names, what country they’re from, and for any message they want to give on video. Like with most of the world’s most tyrannical dictatorships, I suspect that at the rate we’re headed, legal practitioners will soon be scared to file writs of habeas corpus for the undocumented. Some Trump’s most ardent supporters would like to do away with habeas for the undocumented.

Lawyers are already being watched – that’s a fact – and soon the intimidation against immigration attorneys is likely to start. I suspect, in time, the Trump Whitehouse through the Justice Department may start to lean on the legal profession. Call it a hunch, but I can see it coming. I can totally see them going after our licenses, raiding our offices, and bugging our phones, hacking our emails, and arresting our clients right from our very conference rooms – maybe in the middle of individual hearings conducted through Webex. I would absolutely love to be wrong, but only time will tell.

If they tried it, who’s going to stop them? Clarence Thomas and the gang? Gimme a break.

No one wants to defy the strongman. Trump is perhaps the single most powerful president in U.S. history. All sense of checks and balances have gone out the window. Look at his Big Beautiful Bill. He told the two houses of Congress he wanted the bill passed before July 4th. And they delivered on July 3rd! Even members of his own party fear being primaried should they disagree with him on anything. Even little ole Rand Paul, who talks a big game for the cameras, folds like a cheap suit to Trump. Louisville’s own (spineless Democrat) mayor, Craig Greenburg, stripped any semblance of sanctuary status for a city with an ever-growing immigrant population. He didn’t want to incur Trump’s wrath.

I’m sad to say, there will be many more cases like that of Monica Moreta-Galarza.
